đ Welcome to Sandrapop!
Everything you need to know about Sandrapop and why this little corner of the internet was made for you.
Hello, fabulous!
Got your coffee? Tea? Lanikai Margarita? Perfect, letâs chat!
Kick off your shoes, get comfy, and imagine youâre in my Florida living room, trying not to trip over two Pomeranians that think they pay the mortgage around here. I forgive them because theyâre adorable.
If youâre anything like me, you do NOT need another newsletter whispering âembrace the journeyâ. No, maâam.
Youâre a grown ass woman. Youâve raised people, led people, buried people, moved houses, moved countries, moved emotional mountains, and held entire families together with nothing but grit, lip gloss, and a well-timed eyebrow raise.
Youâve been the responsible one, the strong one, the one who âhas it togetherâ â even when you were duct-taping your sanity behind the scenes.
And now? You want something thatâs just for you. Something smart and funny and beautiful and gloriously extra. Something that treats midlife not like a crisis, but like the glittery, champagne-soaked era it actually is.
Thatâs Sandrapop. Youâre in the right place.
Hi, Iâm Sandra
Iâm a Puerto Rican Florida-based retired US Air Force veteran. Wife to Speed (yes, thatâs his real last name; yes, I call him that; yes, heâs wonderful; yes, he brings me Starbucks without being asked â I KNOW đ).
Mom to Max, our superstar athlete off at college doing incredible things while I practice Olympic-level self-control by not texting him every 12 minutes. And full-time personal assistant to Leo + Lexi, our two furry tyrants who run this house with an iron paw. Seriously, they need to chill.
Iâm 40-something, multi-passionate, and aggressively optimistic. My friends confirm this regularly and I take it as a compliment every single time.
I have strong opinions about travel itineraries, coffee orders, skincare routines, and the perfect shade of red. I will compliment your lipstick, your earrings, and your emotional growth in the same breath â and Iâll mean every word. I LOVE giving compliments!
I grew up in Lake Worth, Florida â the daughter of a mom who spoke zero English until she was 30, makes the best pasteles youâll ever taste in your life (I will die on this hill), and showed me firsthand what it looks like to build a beautiful life out of very little.
Sheâs STILL my hero. Weâve talked almost every week since I left home at 18 and I treasure every one of those conversations more than she probably knows.
In 1997, I joined the U.S. Air Force. And for the next 20+ years, I lived a life that most people only dream about. I'm not being dramatic. (Ok ok, I'm always a little dramaticâŚbut not about this.)
We lived in Korea. Hawaii. Germany. Had more fresh starts than most people make in a lifetime. Enjoyed more âI canât believe I get to live hereâ moments than I probably deserved.
For over two decades, I could brief a room before sunrise, move across the country with military precision, and knock out a checklist like it owed me money. I knew exactly who I was, exactly what I was capable of, and exactly where I was going.
Then⌠I retired.
All of a sudden I had a wide open future ahead of me. Which sounds amazing⌠until you realize that you have no idea what to do with it!
For so long, someone else always had my next assignment ready. Now the checklists stopped, the structure evaporated, and the only person deciding what came next was me. It was glorious and disorienting and slightly terrifying.
I had a full life. A beautiful life! But somewhere in all those moves, missions, and checklists, I had gotten very good at doing and completely out of practice at just⌠being.
I needed something that was mine. Something creative and joyful that had nothing to do with being useful and everything to do with being alive.
So I started paying attention to what lit me up: color, travel, beautiful things, good coffee, midlife women doing whatever they want, and stories that made me laugh and feel something at the same time.
Sandrapop is what I came up with â funny, irreverent, joyful, a little dramatic, and always delivered with a wink. A newsletter about self-love, color, travel, and life that makes you laugh out loud AND walk away feeling seen, inspired, and totally fabulous.
Think: your funniest, most well-traveled friend with genuinely good taste finally started a newsletter, and she canât wait to share it with you.
Let me show you around. đ
Sandrapop is set up like a concert because I just canât NOT have a theme. My brain craves structure and organization (itâs the military girl in me) so I need a framework. Itâs already changed like twice and itâll probably change again. Donât judge me.
Besides, the concert setup allows me to let YOU take the spotlight (see what I did there? hehe), collectively call Sandrapop readers something cute, and, well, who doesnât love concerts!? I write 4-6 newsletters a month. Hereâs the setlist:
đ STAGE READY // Self-Love // Getting stage ready is an inside job.
This is where we take care of ourselves. How to love yourself the way you love your partner. How to make your own money rules. Shopping finds Iâd text you IRL if I had your number. Feeling good is the whole point, whether it comes from a $12 lipstick or a boundary you finally set (both count!).
đď¸ THE VENUE // Mood boards // The venue sets the whole vibe.
Every month I fall completely in love with a mood â a color, a feeling, a whole aesthetic â and I drag you into it with me. Mood boards, tiny recipes, poems, art, photos, playlists. Is it a home newsletter? Is it an art installation? Is it a love letter to a color? Yes. All of it. Yes.
âď¸ WORLD TOUR // Travel // The world tour that fits your inbox.
Youâll get recommendations about amazing places Iâve actually been, like where to get oysters and caviar in Paris or which restaurant in St Augustine is not in any Top 5 lists but should be. Youâll also get location inspo on how to get the vibe at home: a cocktail, a home tour, an outfit, and more. Itâs a whole trip without ever leaving your couch. Pack nothing. Iâve got you.
𪊠AFTER PARTY // Life // The after party is where it gets real.
This is where it gets personal. Essays, family, book recs, things I canât stop thinking about, and what it actually feels like to be building your dream lifein real time. My favorite section ⌠shhh, donât tell the others!
When you subscribe, you get a pre-show treat from me: the âEspresso Yourselfâ Coffee Recipe Bundle â five sassy coffee recipe cards for mornings when you you wake up looking like you crawled out of a swamp drain and still have to behave like a person. Relatable? Just me? Cool, cool.
Frame them, gift them, laminate them, spill coffee on them. Theyâre yours.
Youâre either watching from the Front Row (free), rocking out as a Popstar (paid), or holding court in the VIP section as a Headliner (founding).
đ THE FRONT ROW đ
If you stay in the Front Row (free), youâll get 2-4 newsletters a month, access to the archives, and the coffee recipe bundle. Not bad for free, if I do say so myself.
đ¤ THE POPSTARS ($5/mth or $50 annual)
4-6 newsletters a month, the monthly Popstar Kit, the complete Printables Library, bonus âEspresso Yourselfâ Morning Checklist, bonus coffee recipe bundle, and a monthly raffle for a âCoffee on Sandrapopâ $10 gift card. Because Popstars deserve perks. Obviously.
đ THE HEADLINERS ($100 annual)
Everything Popstars get, plus a âColor Your Lifeâ Digital Bundle, bonus newsletters, and a personalized $10 âCoffee on Sandrapopâ gift card every quarter (March, June, Sep, Dec). Yes, itâs as good as it sounds because Headliners are royalty around here.
Every good concert has merch. If youâre a Popstar or Headliner, yours arrives in your inbox every single month â The Popstar Kit: checklists, planners, trackers, and templates designed around a topic of the month that make your life feel more intentional and organized. Way too pretty to rot in your downloads folder.
If youâre a woman who loves a good pen, a fresh page, and the feeling of getting your life together in a way that still feels playful, youâre going to LOVE them.
See for yourself: download the Sandrapop Holiday Wind Down Kit for free right here.
We launched in January 2026, so there are exactly two other kits in existence right now. Youâre not late â youâre early. The archive is small, the timing is perfect, and the best stuff is still coming. đ
I don't like to brag (ok, maybe sometimes), but donât take my word for it. Here are some raving reviews from Sandrapop readers. Click any comment below to see the post it came from. They are too kind and I will not be asking them to stop.
Hahahahaha! OMG I LOVE this so much! You literally had me laughing out loud through the entire post.

Linked below are three of my top performing posts. Theyâll tell you everything you need to know about whether weâre going to be best friends.
âś Want a mood board, a playlist, a poem, and a Portugal sunset all in one place? â Dreamscapes: The Best Fall Colors for September (This is what it looks like inside my brain. You've been warned.)
⡠Want to know who youâre dealing with? â We Hit 100 and I Made Myself Sound Extremely Important (I wrote myself an extremely prestigious fake bio. Zero regrets.)
⸠Want to become the most legendary gift-giver in your entire family? â A Surprisingly Powerful Way to Pick Great Gifts (Five feelings. One formula. Zero panic-scrolling Amazon at midnight.)
Why is this newsletter called Sandrapop? Waaaaay back in the late 1900s, my then-boyfriend-now-husband (hi Speed đ) used to call me his âPiece of Paradise.â He shortened it to âpop,â stuck it on the back of my name, and accidentally created the best email handle in history.
The secret superhero identity I never knew I needed was born and my virtual life has never been the same.
What do you write about?
Self-love, color, travel, and life â the four things I write about with my whole chest. Destination guides, monthly moods, honest product recs, personal essays, and whatever is currently making my life feel easier, prettier, or more like mine. If it's good, it ends up here.
How often do you show up in my inbox?
Free subscribers get 2â4 issues a month. Paid subscribers get 4â6. I don't publish on a rigid schedule because I refuse to send you something just to hit a deadline â you deserve better than filler content and I take that personally.
Whatâs in The Popstar Kit?
Every month, a themed printable kit lands in your inbox like a little gift from someone who really gets you â because I do. Checklists, planners, trackers, and templates designed around a topic of the month. Pretty. Practical. Completely unnecessary and absolutely essential.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yep! No hard feelings, no guilt trips, no dramatic "are you SURE?!" pop-ups. Cancel anytime from your account settings and your access continues through the end of your billing period. You keep everything you paid for. We part as friends. The door is always open.
How do I access the Printables Library?
Once you're a Popstar or Headliner, you'll find the link in your welcome email and in the navigation of paid posts. It's your all-access pass to every printable, kit, and digital goodie I've ever made. Like a little treasure chest. A very pretty treasure chest.
How much does a paid subscription cost?
Popstars are $5/month or $50/year and get 4-6 newsletters a month, the monthly Popstar Kit, the complete Printables Library, bonus âEspresso Yourselfâ Morning Checklist, and a monthly raffle for a âCoffee on Sandrapopâ $10 gift card. Awesome, right!?
Headliners are $100/year and get everything Popstars get plus the "Color Your Life" Digital Bundle, bonus newsletters, and quarterly $10 customized gift cards. Thatâs $40 back in your pocket with a personal letter from me. I know, Iâm the best.
What if Iâm not sure which tier is right for me?
Honestly? Start with The Front Row (that's the free tier) and just live in it for a minute. Read a few issues. See if you find yourself looking forward to them. See if you start recommending me to your friends unprompted. See if you catch yourself thinking "okay but what do the paid people get though." â because that's usually when you know. Upgrade whenever you're ready. I'll be here.
Can I gift a subscription?
Oh, absolutely yes. And can I just say â gifting someone a Sandrapop subscription might be the most thoughtful thing you do all year. Perfect for the friend who needs more joy in her inbox, the mom who deserves something beautiful that's entirely her own, or the sister who's navigating midlife right alongside you and needs someone firmly, loudly in her corner. That someone is me. I take the job very seriously.
How do I connect with you between newsletters?
Iâm very active on Notes â that's where I share quick updates, behind-the-scenes moments, random finds, and things that made me laugh or gasp or immediately add to cart between issues. Come find me there! You can also DM me, comment on a post, reply to a newsletter, or email me at sandrapop@substack.com. I read everything. No bots, no assistants, just me and a Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino, most likely.
What if I have a question you didnât answer here?
Just ask! Reply to any newsletter, drop a comment, or find me on Notes. I'm a real human who actually writes back â sometimes immediately, sometimes after my second coffee, but always happily. Come say hi!
If you want a newsletter that doesnât just speak to women but sweeps you into your own sparkly cinematic universe â a pep talk, a mood board, a travel guide, a love letter to your life, and a coffee date with your funniest friend all wrapped in color and joy â then youâre exactly where youâre meant to be.
Letâs make this era of your life so fabulous, so expansive, so wildly you that people start asking, âWhat is she on?â
(The answer is: herself. Obviously.)

đŹ LETâS DISCUSS: Whatâs the name of your Substack and what do you write about? Drop the link in the comments so everyone can check it out. đđ˝
How fun! I love the community aspect of Substack and this sounds like a great group to be a part of.
