Ah I love the passion with which you talk about this genre! I've never read paranormal romance (I mean romantic love is already maddening without it being paranormal lol) but I have to admit that these book covers are making me reconsider 🔥😜 I'm tempted to read Tempted (no pun intended) because Isadora sounds like my alter ego in the paranormal world! Great breakdown of these series! The way paranormal romance lets characters tackle internal damage while navigating external stakes is kinda genius. I've noticed the fated mate trope works when authors give characters meaningful choice despite destiny nudging them together. Lothaire's arc sounds wild, especially since starting from a place fo unlikeability makes redemption feel earned rather than convenient.
Thanks so much! I honestly wish they made more movies out of paranormal romances, but in the style of The Witcher. That show has the aesthetics down perfectly. I find that the more stubborn the character in their conviction, the more satisfying it is to watch them fall in love. It's irresistible! 🤣
