In this edition of Dreamscapes, April arrived wearing purple.

Wisteria climbing a white wall. The sky right before the clouds decide to be dramatic. A galaxy more vast than you can ever imagine.

This is the purple that’s been here forever — ancient and ethereal, regal and earthy, blooming right now in someone’s garden and somehow also in the cosmos. It makes everything look like a fairy tale without even trying.

And this month, it was my inspiration. Lavender and plum and violet and every purple in between. Grab your drink, settle in, and let it whisk you away for a while. 💜

Purple is my romance color. It makes me think of a waltz AND the Midnight Court. The softness of a spring sky and the mystery of the universe. A royal princess and a relaxing spa day. Somehow all of those things live in the same color and feel like a fairy tale.

~ Wisteria Hour ~

Layered, luminous, a little haunting in the best way. The kind of music that makes you feel like you’re the main star in a heartbreaking love story. Find a window with some light coming through, press play, and enjoy.

~ Worth Your Three Minutes ~

Astronaut Christina Koch gave a speech about how Earth is a crew — and it’s one of the best things I’ve EVER heard. The perspective shift alone is worth three minutes of your life. Also, she’s wearing purple, so it was basically made for this edition.

~ Dreamy Violet ~

I took this video at the Lemongarden Hotel in Sutivan, Croatia on the island of Brač. We were just passing through when this wall of purple bougainvillea literally took my breath away. My dream is to stay here for a week someday in the future. What would you do to have a wall like this in your home?

Purple at home feels different than purple anywhere else. It's not a statement — it's a total mood. A plum bedroom that makes you want to sleep forever. In this edition of Dreamscapes, I’m serving you a little calm on purpose. Today’s theme: soft white + quiet joys. Think hush tones, slow mornings, and the kind of quiet that makes your shoulders drop two inches without you even noticing.

The world is being… a lot right now. Loud. Messy. Anxiety-flavored. But right here, right now, you get a tiny pocket of peace. Pick one section, stay for two minutes, and let it lower the volume in your head.

Consider this your reminder that you can breathe, you can soften, and you can step into something quieter for a few minutes. Let’s chill together. 🤍

Even though I love a bold look, white is my comfort color. It grounds everything and gives my brain a nice break. These whites, blues, and grays feel soft and fluffy, like cozy texture through the screen. Clean + tactile = nervous system reset.

Whenever my anxiety starts climbing, I do a little photo scroll through my happiest memories. This one, me and Speed absolutely cracking up at our vow renewal, never fails to make me smile. 🤍

The Veiled Virgin by Giovanni Strazza (1818–1875) is one of the most incredible art pieces in the world. It blows my mind that humans can make stone look translucent. I could stare at it all day.

Find something you can stare at all day and enjoy it for a while, just because.

This light fixture is gorgeous and lives in my favorite breakfast spot at home. Something about looking at it just settles my nervous system. Probably because it reminds me of the beach aka my favorite place to escape for a day.

Look around the room you're in right now. Find one thing that makes you happy and take a photo of it, then drop it in the comments.

Croatia permanently lives in my heart, and this video is from our very last night there. The sky was showing off, the water was pure magic, and I’ll never forget how peaceful I felt in the little hush right before and right after I hit record.

Think of your most peaceful memory and replay it in your head for 30 seconds.

Funnel cake is ambrosia from the fair gods. It's so light, just the right hint of sweet, and oh so decadent. The soft, powdered sugar dusting makes it feel like eating a cloud that's been kissed by carnival magic. Pure bliss!

Order, make, or grab something purely indulgent today. No guilt. Just pleasure.

My favorite way to unwind is actually to take a “Duvet Day”. Stay in bed or the couch. Do nothing productive. Read, scroll, nap, Netflix and chill… anything goes. Wear pajamas all day. Or a robe. Or nothing at all! The point is to disappear for a day and pretend like the outside world doesn’t exist.

Block off 2 hours this weekend for absolutely nothing. Put it in your calendar right now.

I’m leaning hard into the fun stuff this year: sweet surprises, kitschmas decor, jolly bops, pretty cocktails, and a few romances to disappear into when the to-do list starts acting entitled.
